Circular elements made out of bioplastic

Bio Plastic Cape Dress

In this dress, I explored the use of bio-based materials, creating the circular elements from bioplastic. To achieve the color, I used a natural dye made from blue spirulina, an algae known for its vibrant hue. The blue yarn crocheted around the circles was a cherished gift from my Nanna, and it is 100% sheep wool. The metal rings used in the design were salvaged remnants from a previous chain dress, ensuring no material went to waste.

This design results in a 100% biodegradable piece that can be safely buried in the ground, where it will naturally decompose without leaving harmful waste behind.
